Service principles
Clear ownership, clear scope, and no surprises.
Every paid engagement receives a written project scope. These principles explain the standard approach before a project begins.
Projects and payment
No paid engagement begins until both parties accept a written project agreement or scope of work. The document identifies the deliverables, responsibilities, timeline, revision allowance, pricing, and payment schedule. A deposit may be required before work is scheduled.
Online payments and hosted invoices are processed securely by Stripe. Clients should use the exact amount and project or invoice reference shown in their accepted scope or invoice. Payment is not considered complete until Stripe confirms it as paid.
Timing and revisions
Standard websites typically launch within 7–14 business days after all required content, approvals, and account access are received. Revision rounds and review deadlines are stated in the written scope. Requests outside that scope require a written change order or a separate quote before the additional work begins.
Ownership and accounts
Clients retain ownership and control of their domains, websites, email accounts, and third-party subscriptions. Egan Ventures may receive delegated administrator access when needed to perform the agreed services.
Ownership of custom deliverables transfers only as stated in the signed agreement and after all related invoices are paid. Egan Ventures retains its pre-existing tools, processes, templates, and general know-how.
Third-party costs
Hosting, email licenses, premium software, payment processing, advertising, and other third-party costs are paid directly by the client unless a written scope states otherwise.
Post-launch support
Any included post-launch support period is stated in the written scope. New content, design changes, integrations, maintenance, and third-party issues are separate work unless specifically included.
Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate content, lawful materials, timely approvals, and secure account access. Clients remain responsible for legal, tax, accessibility, privacy, and industry-specific compliance unless a signed agreement expressly assigns a particular task to Egan Ventures.
The signed project scope controls if it differs from these general service principles.
